Jodie is one of the UK’s most exciting emerging broadcasting talents, recognised for her passion for championing new music and connecting audiences with the artists shaping tomorrow. She began her career in student radio, earning a nomination for Best Female Presenter at the Student Radio Awards, before stepping into national radio as Assistant Producer for Kiss Breakfast. There, she helped launch the new breakfast show in 2020, while simultaneously building her own on-air profile through community radio and early interviews with then-up-and-coming artists including Arlo Parks, Dylan and Griff.
Her commitment to supporting emerging artists led her to create Discover Live, a grassroots music night dedicated to showcasing breakthrough talent. This year – Jodie collaborated Discover Live with The Great Escape on a curated showcase headlined by Girl group, and her work advocating for grassroots music saw Jodie appointed as a Youth Music Ambassador. This dedication also caught the attention of the BBC, leading to presenting opportunities across BBC Introducing Sussex & Surrey, a slot in BBC Radio 1’s Christmas Takeover, and ultimately a regular role on Radio 1’s Future Pop, where she now presents alongside fellow hosts Mollie King and Maia Beth.
Alongside her weekly radio work, Jodie broadcasted across this years BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, where she also DJ’d and hosted stages throughout the festival. Last year she fronted Radio 1’s Glastonbury liver coverage of Olivia Rodrigo’s headline performance, and presented the BBC Children in Need livestream. Her live event credits continue to grow, having hosted the AIM Independent Music Awards, the Abbey Road Stage at SXSW London, DIY Magazine’s red carpet at The Ivors, DJ’d at Glastonbury Festival, and presented an award at the Rolling Stone UK Awards.
Beyond radio and broadcasting, Jodie launched the innovative YouTube series Fangirl Files, where she interviews artists as the ultimate superfan. The series has surpassed two million views, welcoming guests including December 10, Meek, G Flip, Bradley Simpson and Cher Lloyd. She has since expanded her digital output with her new social series Overrated, Underrated, which has amassed impressive reach across social platforms, earning her the Best Digital Content award at the Songs Behind the Music Awards.
Her versatility has also seen her host press junkets for Disney releases including Avatar and Toy Story, while her rising profile has been recognised across the industry. Jodie was named one of Fabulous magazine’s “Ones to Watch” and has also been featured in The Ordinary Magazine.
Whether broadcasting live from the UK’s biggest festivals, interviewing global artists, or championing the next generation of musicians, Jodie continues to establish herself as one of British broadcasting’s most exciting and influential new voices.
